I played through the entirety of Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Origins — Awakening, and I'm someone who rarely finishes a game, let alone one that takes me almost 90 hours. I liked the game is what I'm saying. But should you (or Dave) play it?

Should you play Dragon Age: Origins?
Sunday, September 14, 2014
Should I start playing Dragon Age: Origins (again).
OK, so I started playing Dragon Age: Origins. It was full of spells and magic and mysteriously dressed women and so on. “RPG!” I thought to myself. “Coool! Also, my cousin and Tiggs have been harping on about it” I eventually got to a dungeon to crawl through and had to stop to rebuild my pc (unrelated), and lost my save games. Do I want to reinstall this game?

Saints Row IV
I just finished Saints Row IV today and I can honestly say that it was everything I hoped it would be. Or more accurately, I suppose, it was everything I hoped Saints Row the Third would be. Since Saints Row
was console-only I count Saints Row 2 as the first game and this was the sequel we wanted. If you just take Saints Row 2 and Saints Row IV then this is the best video-game series ever.
I've watched a Let's Play of Saints Row and I enjoyed Saints Row the Third, but neither of them is anywhere near the calibre of the even-numbered games. That said, to get the most out of this one you really should have at least a passing familiarity with all three of the others, since characters and events from those games are referred to repeatedly throughout. The game will still be fun and hilarious either way, but it's better if you already know who the characters are.
The bottom line is, if you haven't played any of the Saints Row games, this is a fantastic game on its own merits and you should get it. If you have played the others then you have even more reason to get this one. If you were disappointed by Saints Row the Third and are worried about being similarly let down by this one, don't be.

Civ V and Civilizing in general
I love Civilization. Many hours were lost playing this game in Uni. Many a day I would play it at my friend’s place downstairs while she was fast asleep — she had a machine capable of playing Civ IV. Alpha Centauri I played and loved too. So I am a bit of a fan.

Saints Row
With Saints Row IV due to come out later this year, we felt it was a good time for us to share our thoughts on the series so far. But mostly Saints Row 2.
